Top Notch!! Every time we visit, the service is stellar and the food hits! I have said it before, this location is the best! Great space, room for many, with nice areas to enjoy your meal! A culinary adventure each time! We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were cooked just right! Some of the best around! The pizzas were perfectly cooked and the flavors, outstanding! We always look forward to our next visit!
Best pizza, hands down. Food, svc and atmosphere is great for large groups or a family dinner out. Food comes very quickly to the table and at times nonstop! The again, we tend to order a lot because leftovers are needed for the next day or late in the night, don't judge. Consistency over the years. Been coming to Buddy's since I was a kid and back then the OG location.
Long story short... I was treated to this place by a local, just so he could show off Detroit style pizza. Well, I'm certaintly glad he did! We started off with some of their local brews, and Buddy Bread. Both were finished immediately. For a table of 6 we got 3 different pizzas: Hawaiian, Greektown, and the Henry Ford. My personal favorite being the Greektown. I've never experienced Detroit style pizza but the fluffy, crunch crust was a good touch. The amount of cheese Buddy's puts on their pizza was spot on, too. Opened my eyes to a different style of pizza, for sure. The place is kind of a sports bar/pizzariea, and had plenty of good vibes. They had a pretty decent bar selection and a lot of other things to eat on the menu. Service was good, especially since our table was kind of big on a pretty busy night. Would go back for sure!
This was a great introduction to Detroit style pizza. The crisp cheese edges were a new experience and enjoyed. I was in Chicago earlier in the week and tried Chicago style for the first time and then came here to try Detroit style and Detroit style kicked the crap out of Chicago. We ate half the pizza before I remembered to take a picture lol. We had a very nice server who was quick with the refills. I loved seeing all the history around the restaurant and one of my favorite decorations was the bocce balls used as finials along the dividing wall. Such an iconic Italian American sport!! I was only in Detroit a short time but I can't wait to come back for more Detroit style pizza.
My first introduction to buddy's pizza was at this location and it remains the same rock solid awesome Detroit style pizza everyone loves. It's a nice multi level serving floor with a small bar. It's is always busy. If I docked it anything it's that the parking lot is always full. Is that a bad thing?
Great food, service and atmosphere. Went for lunch on a Saturday and was seated immediately. Lots of TVs for college football watching. Had some of the Detroit style pizza and chicken fingers as an app. Pizza was amazing. Perfectly done. Chicken was good as well but doesn't beat the pizza. Would highly recommend.
Excellent pizza with super crunchy edges. If there was any complaint, I just wish they were a bit more heavy handed with the toppings. I feel like the ground beef was a bit hard to find on the pizza whereas it was somewhat smothered with the marinara sauce. Otherwise, the pizza had great taste and it was big enough to take nearly half of it home. I also got the buddy bread which was a huge portion for a cheap price. I would definitely come back but probably just get the zah.
This was our first time back to Buddy's after our not so great visit last month, and they definitely redeemed themself. The 4 square pizza we got was super crispy, cheesy, and everything you could possibly want I a Detroit style pizza. We opted for the medium garden salad, which 4 of us split, and the kids shared mozzarella sticks and an Italian sub. Everything came out perfect and so delicious!
Great meatballs, good pizza Got this delivered, was hot and fresh. As a pizza, enjoyed the toppings but the crust was not to my liking. The meatballs were great, but had a little too much cilantro. So I was getting some soap flavors off it. As a pizza place, it's good but not my style. Enjoy the flavors, but the crust was too thick. If you really like pan pizzas then you'll love this pizza. As a ct native, I like my thin crusts
